Family
Our family consists of my wife (Morgan), our dog (Flash), and the newest addition, our baby girl (Leena). It is a unique time to raise your first child but certainly worth every moment. Thankfully, we are fortunate to have all four grandparents living in Sioux Falls to help assist (part-time daycare) and enjoy as many moments as possible.
Background
Although I was born in St Paul, MN, I was primarily raised here in Sioux Falls. I attended Lincoln High School, played hockey for the Sioux Falls Flyers, and worked for the City of Sioux Falls growing up.
Education/Work History
I graduated with a degree in economics from the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk) in 2010. Before graduating, though, I was allowed to intern for Waddell & Reed at their home office in Kansas City. It was a phenomenal experience and gave me the foundation for financial awareness.
Before joining the team here, I work at Cigna Specialty Pharmacy for the last ten years. There we managed, coordinated, and provided medication for specialized disease states. I first started on the organ transplant team and later moved to the infusion team, where I mainly worked with immunodeficient and hemophilia patients. The complexity and cost of these patients’ treatment are extraordinary. To financially put this in perspective, I once helped facilitate a patient’s shipment of medication that cost roughly $600,000 for a 30-day supply
